Big'n small plans

Hello! After the WOC, it happened to me again, like so many times before. I got bored of orienteering and I'm not capable of doing it at the moment. I messed up the victory in the Finnish o-league finals and after that I haven't touched a map. On the other hand, I have to admit that I've still been spending quite a lot of time in the woods. I just love picking mushrooms and at the same time it's almost like training too :)

As my motivation is lost and my jeans are getting too small, I decided to stay out of next weeks Finnish champs. However, I got this sudden idea to take part in Ecross, a 18 kilometers long cross-country run in Espoo. So, no time for other pleasures of life then;)

I've also decided to kick myself on the ass just a little bit more this year, and I'm definitely going to run the rest of the Finnish champs and some other events too. FC in night orienteering will be held in two weeks and that I don't want to miss...it's always so silly and crazy. In the middle, I want to show my best skills and in the relay, the same weekend, it would be nice to take some medal too. I'll also take part in the WC-finals in Switzerland, as it's always such a nice country to visit...On the other hand, I don't really see the point in getting the WC points there, as Hausken won it already...

Anyway, I'm not ending my career or anything. I'm just a little tired of competing after such a long and full season. Besides, I'll have a lot of studies to do as I've already made this little plan for my masters thesis which I'm finally going to start. Honestly. And you know the saying: Well planned is half-done...I love this kinda optimism :D
